Founder + Principal
Shelley Senai formed flypaper PR with the goal of building fully customized, highly creative PR programs for fun and innovative clients, without the smoke and mirrors of a large agency. With nearly a decade of strategic communications experience, Shelley has managed PR programs for companies of all shapes and sizes, from major consumer brands like Adidas and Cumberland Farms, to early-stage companies like Catalog Spree, Greycork and BriefMe.
Earning her stripes in the PR agency world, Shelley has a knack for crafting the right messages and getting them to the right people. Her years in account service saw her securing client coverage in major national news outlets including the New York Times, the TODAY Show, InStyle magazine, TechCrunch, CNET, CNBC, Luckymagazine, Yahoo! Shine, and the list goes on. Shelley has organized media tours that have had her clients sitting down face-to-face with editors at Vogue, Good Housekeeping, Elle DECOR, O!, and countless others.
A stickler for accuracy in the details, she brings her love of words and grammar nerdiness to her personal writing projects, from blogging to developing a screenplay and a children's book manuscript.
Shelley is a proud graduate of Boston University's College of Communication where she studied public relations with a minor in English.
Recent examples of media placements Shelley has secured on behalf of her clients can be found here.
Heidi’s 18 years in PR includes work on both the client and agency sides, and as a consultant designing communications plans for diverse organizations of all sizes and statures, including a number of early stage entities within consumer/consumer packaged goods (Welch’s, Samsonite, Island Oasis, Nova Star Cruises, New England Coffee, Fancypants Baking Co., Good Tastes Kitchen, LeanBox), medical (MassMEDIC/Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, Northwoods Surgical, Dr. Curtis Frank Vision and Ortho-K Center), nonprofit (maaps/Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools, Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Red Sox Foundation, Brookview House, Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice), and BtoB (Konica-Minolta, Kaon Interactive).
Sharp, relevant messaging, persuasive pitches and surgically targeting the right influencers has resulted in coverage for clients in trade publications and the pages of Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Yahoo! Small Business, Businessweek, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, Chicago Tribune, NASDAQ and MarketWatch, among others, as well as on segments of top-tier broadcasters FOX News LIVE, NPR and Bloomberg Radio, and on NECN, Chronicle and all network stations in Boston.
After acquiring her degree in marketing from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., Heidi spent time on an events team for the President of Harvard University, planning and executing all aspects of functions hosting dignitaries from around the globe. Heidi loves good food and, fortunately, working out too.
