Shel Senai (they/them) is a writer, editor, and results-driven communications strategist with 17+ years of experience in communications and public relations strategy and execution.

Shel has worked with clients including non-profit organizations, B2B companies and consumer brands to deliver compelling narratives that raise brand visibility and align with strategic goals. Their work has helped transform executives into thought leaders, launch new companies, products and initiatives onto the national stage, and prepare organizations to better respond to feedback and futureproof through crisis planning.

Shel leans into everything they do with an aim toward realizing collective liberation, and a just and equitable world. They know their communications superpower comes with a moral responsibility to tell the truth and to impact the world for the better. Developing a set of communications values with clients is a vital underpinning of Shel’s strategic approach.

Shel holds a B.S. in communications with a minor in English from Boston University and an MFA in creative writing from Warren Wilson College. They currently serve as assistant fiction editor for the print literary journal Raleigh Review which publishes twice annually. Shel was a 2018 recipient of an Emerging Artist award in Literature from the St. Botolph Club Foundation and a 2022 recipient of an artist fellowship grant from the Mass Cultural Council.

Heidi Boie

Heidi’s 18 years in PR includes work on both the client and agency sides, and as a consultant designing communications plans for diverse organizations of all sizes and statures, including a number of early stage entities within consumer/consumer packaged goods (Welch’s, Samsonite, Island Oasis, Nova Star Cruises, New England Coffee, Fancypants Baking Co., Good Tastes Kitchen, LeanBox), medical (MassMEDIC/Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, Northwoods Surgical, Dr. Curtis Frank Vision and Ortho-K Center), nonprofit (maaps/Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools, Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Red Sox Foundation, Brookview House, Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice), and BtoB (Konica-Minolta, Kaon Interactive).

Sharp, relevant messaging, persuasive pitches and surgically targeting the right influencers has resulted in coverage for clients in trade publications and the pages of Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Yahoo! Small Business, Businessweek, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, Chicago Tribune, NASDAQ and MarketWatch, among others, as well as on segments of top-tier broadcasters FOX News LIVE, NPR and Bloomberg Radio, and on NECN, Chronicle and all network stations in Boston.

After acquiring her degree in marketing from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., Heidi spent time on an events team for the President of Harvard University, planning and executing all aspects of functions hosting dignitaries from around the globe. Heidi loves good food and, fortunately, working out too.
